TIFFANY WALKER

I’m a wife, mother of two sons, and a huge believer that we are all meant for more.

I don’t have a degree in psychology or anything of that nature, but what I have is a desire to help others and be an advocate for our youth. I was raised by great mentors, and other Role Models in my life. For the most part, I had a great childhood. My parents did the best that they could do, however, not every parent has the answers or knows how to guide their children through the rough years. I’m here to say, “IT TAKES A VILLAGE,”—— and sometimes parents need support, and non-judgment.

I decided to start Project Role Model to make a difference. I’m a product of the 70s and 80s, and I recognize that our world has developed and evolved; technology is fantastic. However, the goal here with Project Role Model is to maintain a balance. Let’s create community around doing the right thing.

Are we raising our kids to have character, coping skills, gratitude, and compassion? Those qualities aren’t taught in school, rather, they are developed, and it takes experience to develop these traits.

Our programs here at Project Role Model will offer valuable lessons through sharing life experiences and education to help support kids and parents who are currently experiencing bullying and to prevent further events of bullying from happening.

I believe our children can be amazing humans in a society that is quickly changing. With the proper tools and mentoring, I believe we can raise great individuals who will impact society for the better. In a world of instant gratification, I believe Project Role Model’s mission can be accomplished if we all do our part in this project.

Board Director

MARIA ROWELL

It is a honor to be part of Project Role Model. I am in my twelfth year in education. I first started as a sixth grade math/science teacher in downtown Los Angeles. It was here that I realized the important of having a positive influence in young adolescence. I would later teach in my native Orange County as a fifth grade teacher. I grew up in Anaheim, where I attended Clara Barton Elementary, Ball Jr. High, and Loara High schools. My focus has been Child and Adolescent Development since I can remember. I have a Bachelors of Science from Cal State University, Fullerton and teaching credential. I am currently completing my Masters in Educational Leadership from CSUF as well. Currently, I am in my third year as Dean of Academics for Magnolia Science Academy in Santa Ana. As the Dean my concentration is academics, I realized the importance of integrating behavioral and social emotional development to foster the development of the whole child.
